THE BLONDit and respect for the environment

The logistics and transport sector currently accounts for just over a third of global carbon dioxide emissions.

Although transport is essential to our economy and our personal lives, it produces a significant amount of greenhouse gas emissions, contributing significantly to air pollution.

 Because we care about respecting and protecting the environment, we at THE BLONDit have decided to do our small part, starting with our shipping packaging: it is not the standard packaging found on the market but has been specially designed for THE BLONDit and made in the right size to save on waste and emissions related to shipping, also so that we do not have to use bubble wrap or other plastic materials inside to protect the items contained.

Furthermore, as certified on the box itself, the shipping packaging is made entirely of paper, not plastic, and is reusable and recyclable.

Despite growing awareness of climate change, we at THE BLONDit are aware that consumers still want to receive their purchases quickly, which, especially in international e-commerce, involves the use of air transport, which has the largest carbon footprint of all transport options.

With a view to reducing the impact of carbon emissions associated with air shipments, THE BLONDit has joined the GoGreen Plus-Carbon Reduced service provided by DHL, which it uses for domestic and international shipments: the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), produced from renewable sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, and agricultural crops, will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil fuels.
